Back in 2020, prize-winning author and lifelong environmental activist Michael Shellenberger penned in an article that “on behalf of environmentalists everywhere, I would like to formally apologize for the climate scare we created over the past 30 years.” Shellenberger promptly became the target of cancel culture and book burning mobs. He published a book called “Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All” in June 2020, which launched an army of armchair greenies, book critics, and bought and sold academics that promptly skewered his reputation, research, and views. In summary, he noted that “climate change is real, but it’s not the end of the world or even our most serious environmental problem.” Knives from “Karens” really got sharp after he contributed to disclosing the Twitter Files scandal in 2022 with Elon Musk and Matt Taibbi.
What rarely surfaces in the mainstream press nowadays are accolades for speaking truth to power if it doesn’t fit a government narrative. One example came from Tom Wigley, who was the former senior climate scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Wigley said that Apocalypse Never “may be the most important book on the environment ever written.” Other reformed climate alarmists include but are not limited to Executive Director of the International Climate Science Coalition Tom Harris, who described the global warming narrative as “a scam” on national TV, geologist and Emeritus Professor of Earth Sciences of the University of Melbourne Ian Plimer, who dispels myths pushed by “climate zealots,” and Canadian ecologist and Greenpeace cofounder Patrick Moore, who says there is “no scientific proof” that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the dominant cause for climate change. A well-known “truth warrior” recently censored from legacy media by the “censorship industrial complex” is Tucker Carlson. One of his most recent public speaking engagements where he talks about the power of truth on numerous topics is posted at the end of today’s article.

The world finds itself in a self-imposed global energy crisis and rampant greenwashing fraud that’s essentially a high-speed lane to economic suicide. Meanwhile, restaurants across the country are faced with ‘impossible gas bills’ that push them to the brink of closure. As investors realize that the proposed energy transition will take decades and is not economical or environmentally sound, it’s crucial to call out those responsible who smugly promote an anti-oil movement and the weaponized apparatchiks in government that legislate or enforce policies that never allow a good crisis to go to waste. If you sank your hard-earned cash into an EV death trap, good luck with that. Even the New York Department of Sanitation had a come to Jesus moment when they realized EV snow plows are useless and abandoned testing. EV batteries exploding in home garages and roadways all over the world is not a public relations win for the industry either and there’s absolutely nothing green about EVs.
I also touched on how a degradation of our food supply and health are part of the globalist Great Reset agenda in “The Bull in Cattle Takes a Breather After Rallying to All-Time Highs” published last week. Here’s an excerpt:

My point today is that Biden’s Green New Deal agenda is a boondoggle and a much larger investment than Obama’s first attempt with $80 billion for clean energy projects in 2009 that was gift wrapped in his $814 billion stimulus bill. When I moved from New York City after 25 years in a rat race nestled in concrete mountains, I relocated to blue-sky country that was targeted to be a green energy powerhouse after Obama took office. The Great Reset agenda that came to light in recent years was not apparent when I moved, and my motivation at the time was to explore a career within the alternative energy industry, make a difference in the world, and build a homestead. We all know how the Obama administration’s attempt to launch a U.S. industrial base for renewable energy turned out. It quickly went bankrupt and was wrought with financial fraud and scandals before my lofty goals could even take root. There were no jobs to be found.
The Department of Energy (DOE) was humiliated a decade ago for subsidizing the failure of clean technology investment ventures with billions in grants and loan guarantees that are too numerous to mention. A few standouts are the bankruptcy of battery manufacturer A123, battery company Ener1, energy firm Beacon Power, electric vehicle (EV) carmaker Fisker Automotive, solar company Abound Solar, and solar panel manufacturer Solyndra. As a side note, I published “Annual Interest Due on U.S. Sovereign Debt Surges Above $1 Trillion” on Nov. 9 and penned the following:
“Someone please communicate to Larry Summers and Biden’s apparatchiks that the Green New Deal and EV dreams are going bust amid The Squad’s policy-driven spending spree in the same way that Obama’s ‘green’ programs sank billions into renewable energy projects that went bankrupt. Remember the Solyndra scandal and the long list of corrupt government financing on our tax dime? But I digress.” – TraderStef
Biden’s prolific spending habits include $400 billion in taxpayer subsidies directed towards more incestuous DOE green energy ventures that dwarf what Obama printed back in the day, as current solar photovoltaics, wind power, and EV industry leaders along with politicos on Capitol Hill are at it once again. I don’t want to steal the spotlight away from what the Climate Change Dispatch reported today in “The Biden Green Energy Slush Fund,” so have at it and peruse the intricacies it laid out. Another article worthy of your time today was penned at The Conservative Woman (TCW) from the U.K. titled “The climate scaremongers: Wind farms wring yet more cash out of the taxpayer… THE myth of cheap wind power has been well and truly demolished, but unfortunately it is the public who will pay the cost.”
An informative mainstream piece of journalism was also published today that touches on some details regarding why Biden’s green agenda is failing.
Biden’s clean energy agenda faces mounting headwinds… “Canceled offshore wind projects, imperiled solar factories, fading demand for electric vehicles. A year after passage of the largest climate change legislation in U.S. history, meant to touch off a boom in American clean energy development, economic realities are fraying President Joe Biden’s agenda. Soaring financing and materials costs, unreliable supply chains, delayed rulemaking in Washington and sluggish permitting have wrought havoc ranging from offshore wind developer Orsted’s (ORSTED.CO) project cancellations in the U.S. Northeast, to Tesla, Ford and GM’s scaled back EV manufacturing plans. The darkening outlook for clean energy industries is tough news for Biden.” – Reuters
There are so many to choose from in the not-so-mainstream sphere, and here are just a couple on why Biden’s expectations for a “warp speed” green transition and a booming EV industry are just a “fantasy.”
The Great ‘Green Energy Transition’ That Wasn’t… “The obvious lesson for the industry: You can’t bribe Americans to buy cars they don’t want. Given the all-in approach to electric vehicles at Ford and General Motors, it’s clear that Detroit never got the message. Last week, Honda and GM announced an end to their two-year collaboration in building a platform for lower-cost EVs. Honda execs said it was too hard… Energy expert Robert Bryce estimates that Ford has lost $62,000 for each EV it has rolled off the assembly line. That’s hardly a road to profitability… Meanwhile, the news is even worse for wind and solar power. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that ‘clean energy’ investment funds are tanking, with some down as much as 70%… This collapse is happening right when Exxon, Chevron, and their investors are looking at the real-world data, not green energy propaganda.” – Townhall, Oct. 31
The Biden Administration’s EV Goals Are an Expensive Fantasy… “The Biden administration is pushing for widespread electrification in less than 20 years through government subsidies and coercive regulations as part of its aggressive climate agenda. The truth is that President Joe Biden’s goals are an illusion at the expense of the American people. While EV proponents try to claim that EVs will soon be cheaper than gasoline vehicles, our new research demonstrates that EVs benefitted from hidden subsidies that total nearly $50,000 per EV.” – Real Clear Politics, Nov. 21
