China’s Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that the United States must take responsible measures to protect investors in its debt after S and P threatened to lower its credit rating due to an uncontrollable budget deficit. Will the U.S. have as much say in global political matters as our credibility drops? “We hope that the U.S. will take responsible policies and measures to safeguard investor’s interests,” said the ministry.
Unfortunately, 44% of Americans, still believe the economy is getting worse and many individuals are being forced to apply for jobs that they would have never dreamed of doing. Significantly more Americans are working minimum wage jobs than they were even a year ago. Yesterday, McDonalds announced that they will be hiring 50,000 new employees. Some have gone as far as calling this the “McRecovery.” Is this the true recovery that this country needs?
